5、介词at 表示正在进行。

at war 在打仗；at peace 处于和平状态；at table 在吃饭；at breakfast /lunch /supper, at work 在上班；at school 在上学。

6、介词at 表示时间。at noon 在中午；at first 起初、开始；at last 最终、最后；at dawn 黎明；at daybreak 黎明；at sunrise 黎明时分；at night 在夜晚；at midnight 在午夜；at present 目前；at Christmas =on Christmas Day 在圣诞节；at six sharp 六点整；at ten o ’clock 在十点钟；at the beginning of 在……之初；at the end of 在……末；at a time 一次；at one time 曾经；at times 有时；at all times 总是；at no time 绝不、永不；at the moment 此刻；for the moment 暂时；at any moment 在任何时刻。at once 立刻、马上；at the same time 同时。

7、介词at 表示目标。

look at 看看；stare at 盯着；glare at 怒视；shout at 对……大吼；smile at 向……微笑；throw at sb 扔向某人；shoot at sb 向某人射击(表动作)；shoot sb /sth 射中(表结果)；aim at =take aim at 瞄准；be aimed at 目的在于(主语是物)；laugh at 嘲笑；point sth at (把……指向，point 后有宾语)。

8、介词at +最高级。

at (the )least 至少；at (the )most 至多；最多；at (the )latest 最迟；at the worst 即使坏到极点；at first 起初；at last 最终；at its (his /her /our, etc )best 在它的最佳情况中。
